Can Lrzin be taken in the 18th week of pregnancy to increase the amniotic fluid?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 weeks pregnant but have had very low amniotic fluid since week 14. A recent scan shows a normally growing fetus. Can I take Lrzin? Does it increase the fluid? How many sachets should I take daily (pre or post-meal)? I am on Obimin and 1/4 tablet of Aspirin as well. So, is it safe to take Lrzin?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It would be better if you send me your previous medical, surgical, gynecological, and obstetric history. It is good news that the fetus is growing well. You were advised to take Aspirin and Obimin only in this pregnancy or in previous pregnancies as well?

My advice:

  1. You should have iron and calcium supplements as well.
  2. Take a healthy nutritious diet with lots of fruits, vegetables, and water.
  3. Have complete check-ups and treatment of any health issue you have been experiencing.
  4. Over-the-counter drugs like vitamins or food supplements containing Folic Acid, Arginine, Zinc, etc. can cause allergic reactions and GI symptoms. You can get all this with food as well.
  5. Stay hydrated, including lots of fruits and vegetables, and fresh pure juices.
  6. Try to get complete treatment for any health issues you have.
  7. Walk daily.
  8. You can have standard food supplements with the least side effects that suit your body.

I hope that helps.

Thank you.
