Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Since last year, I have been suffering from anhedonia. It is getting serious now. I am not feeling anything. I lost excitement and feelings in everything. I do not feel like doing anything all day. I also have been an OCD patient for the past 13 years. My OCD is under control, but this anhedonia is causing me great distress. Please assist.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern. From your details, I feel like you may be suffering from depression. Depressive illness is the most common comorbid condition in OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder). It usually occurs secondary to uncontrolled OCD, but as you said, your OCD is under control. I would like to know if any psychosocial issue is disturbing you, like your relationship, finance, or job. Also, I would like to know what medicines you are taking. If you could provide these details, together, we will try our best to sort out your problem. Please get back.

Regards.
