Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
This is a clear cycle of anovulation or no ovulation. Ovulation is supposed to occur on around the 12th to 14th day of periods, and 14 days later, the periods arise. So if there is no ovulation, the inner thickness of the uterus, the endometrium, keeps increasing over all these days. Finally, the thickness is so much that it cannot stand on its own, and it starts falling off, just like dried leaves fall, not at the same time, but over many days. So you will have bleeding but not significantly every day, fleshy masses, clots with crampy pain, as the thick blood and fleshy masses are trying their best to push it out through the narrow cervical canal. Once the mass or clot is gone, the pain reduces.
Let's treat the problem first and then find the cause too.
1. Take tablet Norethisterone (natural Progesterone) 5 milligrams, two tablets thrice daily until the bleeding stops. It will stop in one to two days. Then after the bleeding stops, take two tablets twice for two days. Then have one tablet twice a day for 18 days. This regimen is called medical curettage. You will have periods only after 5 to 10 days of stopping the pill. This will remove all the remaining tissue inside the uterus. It has no side effects. Drink water, proteins (milk, meat, vegetables), and sugar. This will correct your blood loss. If it is very severe, I may need an Iron tablet.
2. Now for the cause of anovulation
Possibilities-
A. Weight above expected; maximum is 114 to 121 lbs. Once you reduce weight to the normal range, you do not need any medicine to get periods.
To reduce weight -
- Do not do fasting.
- Do not eat junk food, fast food, or red meat.
- Reduce snacks in between meals. Eat low calories food with high proteins.
- Do regular exercise (especially for the waist and hip area), aerobics, yoga, brisk walking (swing your hands well), and try to reduce 2 to 4 kilograms per month. Take your time with weight reduction; it will be challenging to maintain. You will see changes as soon as you reduce at least 5 kilograms. Even if you are in the normal weight range, try this schedule. It will help.
- Go for thyroid profile and serum prolactin tests.
- Do you have any recent episodes of extreme anxiety, depression, or mental or physical stress?
I hope I have clarified your query, do write back if you have any more queries.
Thank you.
Thank you.
