Common "Asherman's Syndrome" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Asherman's Syndrome

Asherman’s syndrome is a rare condition in which scar tissues or adhesions build inside the uterus. This extra scar tissue creates less space inside the uterus. The leading cause of this condition is surgery of the cervix or uterus. A surgical procedure like a cesarean section or C-section to deliver a baby can sometimes form scar tissue. Symptoms of this syndrome include pelvic pain and very light periods.
