Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I am here to provide expert opinions on your medical issues. Firstly, I want to inform you that the most common reason for experiencing sleep disturbance and loss of appetite in people with asthma is a potential worsening of underlying asthma, which could be attributed to factors such as infection. However, it is important to consider other possibilities as well, including lower levels of thyroid hormones or a deficiency of iron in the blood.

The probable diagnosis at this stage is asthma, but to confirm and rule out related issues, I would recommend the following investigations:

  1. Chest X-ray.
  2. Complete blood count (CBC).
  3. Thyroid profile.
  4. Serum iron profile (including iron, total iron-binding capacity, and serum ferritin levels).

These tests will help in understanding the severity of your condition and identifying any associated deficiencies.

Please follow up with your laboratory reports within seven days so we can review the results and plan an appropriate treatment approach.

In the meantime, I suggest a few preventive measures: avoid exposure to cold environments, drink warm fluids, and practice relaxation or breathing exercises to help control asthma symptoms and improve sleep quality.

Revert with the answer to assist further.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.
