Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

As soon as I reached home, I had extreme lower back pain and a cough. I tried some exercise for lower back pain, and the day I exercised, the pain was gone, but the next day my left kidney started to ache and now it has been a week I still have kidney pain; it is not so severe, but when I cough it occurs and when I sleep it hurts. Do you think it is something serious?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. There are many causes of low back pain.

It can be due to muscle spasms, nerve compression, or vitamin D deficiency. The examination is very much necessary to reach a final diagnosis. As far as your nasal congestion is concerned, it can be due to infection or allergy. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Take tablet Loratadine 10 mg tablet at night for 15 days.
  2. Take tablet Montelukast 10 mg tablet in the evening for 15 days.
  3. Take syrup Dextromethorphan one tablespoon in the morning, afternoon, and night for 15 days.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
