Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am experiencing persistent upper back pain throughout the day, particularly in the left middle-to-upper region and in the center between my shoulder joints, extending down to the back of my neck. I would greatly appreciate any advice that you might suggest. I have highlighted the area on my back that pains. Kindly help.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Could you please tell me about your job profile and how much physical activity you do in your daily routine?

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I work in an IT company and used to run on a treadmill daily at a speed of six to seven kilometers per hour. I had a health checkup done last year, which showed normal results for various tests, including TMT(treadmill test), echocardiogram, ECG (electrocardiogram), blood sugar, and lipid profile. My cholesterol levels were high.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suggest you do the following:

  1. See a physiotherapist: Get advice from a physiotherapist and learn good work ergonomics.

  2. Improve posture: Learn to sit right and try doing 45-minute walks. These help your back.

  3. Manage pain: For severe pain, short-term painkillers can offer relief. But do not rely on them for long term.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
