Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 50-year-old female. I have been having bad breath for the past two months. I have already gone to a dentist and had a dental check-up. Everything looks fine and normal in the case of maintaining oral hygiene. I am brushing my teeth twice and using mouthwash to gargle my mouth. Even after maintaining my oral hygiene, my bad breath is not getting reduced. Can dietary habits and lifestyle choices influence the development of bad breath? What foods or drinks are more likely to cause or worsen the condition? Can certain medical conditions contribute to persistent bad breath? How can I determine whether there might be an underlying health issue that needs attention? Are there natural or home remedies that can be effective in treating bad breath? What are some safe and proven methods to consider?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern. Follow proper brushing technique twice a day. Mouthwashes Will stain the teeth on a Long time basis. They are intended for use only for a week. Replace your toothbrush every three months or after you are sick. It is important to find out if you have any oral ulcers. If your oral health is good then try to find out the reason for bad breath whether you have sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, stomach ulcer, or gerd by meeting a general physician. Try using Listerine original mouthwash every evening for a week. Some foods causing halitosis are onion and garlic. You can chew and spit little fennel seeds or a cardamom after eating trigger foods. I hope I have cleared all your doubts.

Thank you.
