Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 28 year old male, and I have been suffering from balanitis for more than two years. I have itching under my foreskin of the penis and very small red bubbles on the penis head. Initially, I had pain in the groins, but now there is no pain. I do not have pain on urination and no fluid discharge. A doctor told me to use Panderm cream. When I use this cream, I feel comfortable, and the red rashes disappear. But after some days, they start again. I do not have any other health problems. Recently, I underwent all tests, like HIV, diabetes, BP, hepatitis, etc., and all were negative. I am uncircumcised. Please suggest some permanent solution.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Balanitis is a common issue in young males. It can be due to multiple factors such as a fungal infection like candida, viral infections, irritant contact dermatitis to soaps, or use of condoms. Panderm (Clobetasol) has already been banned in few countries. It is a mixture of steroid, antibiotic, antifungal, and antiviral together. It does more harm than benefit. So, I strongly recommend that you stop using Panderm immediately, especially, in the view of the sensitivity of the affected site. Kindly upload appropriate images so that we can assess the present condition and suggest you accordingly. Kindly mention if you are a diabetic or if you have been washing the area with any antiseptics or if you have had a high-risk exposure recently.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
