Hi doctor,

I have had a new painless raised area on the glans for over a week. It appears to be unchanged. There are no other symptoms.

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

From your detailed history, it is evident that the lesion is just inflammatory, and more commonly it is balanitis. It is not related to sexually transmitted diseases.

For this, no oral medicine is required for now. Just use moisturizer or some mild steroid-based cream for a short duration that will help in some improvement, but will recover to some extent only with medicine.

I will add one cream safe for application, but use it only for a limited duration. In our case, it should be for two weeks only. Start Hydrocortisone cream twice daily over the affected area for two weeks, and use any routine moisturizer. Get a follow-up done after two weeks.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Thanks.
