Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a Bartholin cyst in the vaginal area with a small kind of pocket above the usual spot. I have been taking Ibuprofen for pain. I am a 33-year-old female.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

If you are having a Bartholin duct cyst then I suggest you take antibiotics like Amoxicillin 500 milligrams for five days, along with a painkiller and a sitz warm water bath. If the cyst is recurrent then you should get yourself examined and the cyst must be removed by surgical procedure.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

Which antibiotics should I take?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suggest you take a tablet of Amoxicillin (Penicillin antibiotic) and Clavulanic acid (beta-lactam drug) drug combination in the dose of 500 mg with 225 mg for five days and twice daily after food.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
