Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my period last month. Then, 15 days later, I had another bleeding. It was really strong and acted like my normal period does, but it is pretty unusual for me to get my period that fast again. Now, 15 days later, I have bleeding again, but this time really weak with strong headaches, etc. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

This may be due to infection of the urinary tract, pelvic inflammatory response, or hormone imbalance. I suggest you need a complete evaluation. Kindly do the following tests:

1. Urine routine and culture test.

2. Pap smear of vaginal discharge for microbiology and others like cervicitis.

3. Hb (hemoglobin) level and peripheral smear study.

4. Thyroid profile.

5. PT (prothrombin time), INR (international normalized ratio), and coagulation profile.

6. Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis.

This will narrow down your problem. You may need to take antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and antihistamines along with douching of the vagina with an antiseptic solution and vaginal pessary or ointment for five days to be reviewed.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards.
