Bleeding Time

Bleeding time is the time taken by the blood to form a clot. It also determines the functions of the platelets indirectly. The normal bleeding time is between 1 to 8 minutes. Thrombocytopenia and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) are the common conditions that show increased bleeding time.
