Can medical treatment cure blocked blood vessel?
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My mother is 80 years old. She felt uneasy in the night, and we immediately took her to the hospital. She was diagnosed with three vessels blocked, two of them 90 %, and the third one is 40 % blocked.
After angiography, the doctor advised an operation. Due to her age, we would like to get treatment with medicine. Is there any medical treatment to cure my mother without an operation?
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Unfortunately, no medical treatment can restore the blood flow in the blocked vessels. Your mother's condition requires a percutaneous coronary stent.
For further information, consult an internal medicine physician online.
Thank you.
