Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 31 years old. I am a BP patient for the past four years. Please check my ECG report. I have a phobia on my heart because of my BP. I will take ECG monthly thrice and I visit hospitals frequently for opinion even when the doctor told me I am normal. I have not satisfied and again I go for troponin I test which is also normal when I checked three times in a month. I do not know how to overcome this problem. Please help me. I am currently on Prolomet XL 50 in the morning and Telma 20 in the night.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen your ECG report. (attachment removed to protect patient identity). I understand what you are going through. Your ECG (electrocardiogram) is normal. It shows tachycardia (your heart is racing). I understand you are worried about the fact that you have high blood pressure for four years, but you do not need to worry at all. If you are ready to adjust your lifestyle and take all medications as prescribed by your physician, you can live a very healthy and long life. I have patients that are over 90 years of age that have lived with hypertension for 50 years and they are doing fine. My advice to you are ensure to start exercising if you do not. Exercises like walking or jogging for 30 to 40 minutes three times a week, will help your heart. Reduce the amount of salt you consume. Do not add raw salt to your food after cooking, it should be added while cooking. Start eating healthy. Reducing weight will help you to bring down your high blood pressure. Eat more fruits and vegetables. If you are ready to make these changes you will be fine and will see changes in a few months from now.

Thank you doctor,

Please assure me that my heart is 100% fine so that I feel better. Lab technician told me like there are some inverted T waves, so I got frightened a lot. But I am happy now.
