Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Repeated boils on the body suggest that you may be closer to a source of infection or the treatment has been inadequate. Squeezing of boils may also lead to the spread of infection. If you have not found relief with antibiotics, you may require testing of pus from the boil to see which antibiotic suits you best. Marks that are left behind after the boils are healed will fade eventually. This can be hastened by skin-lightening creams.

The probable causes include excess sweating, repeatedly wearing the same clothes, and using unwashed towels.

Investigations to be done are pus culture and sensitivity.

Differential diagnosis includes miliaria and folliculitis.

Treatment involves Mupirocin cream for the boils. Biluma (Octinoxate, Propylene glycol, light liquid paraffin) cream to the marks once healed.

Preventive measures include-

  1. Washing clothes in disinfected water and drying them in the sunlight.

  2. Use a sweat-absorbing body talc.

  3. Timely treatment of boils.

I hope this information helps you.

    Take care.
