Hi,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.

Yes, it is hidradenitis suppurativa. I can understand it is a very difficult time for you. This condition requires both medical and surgical treatment. It is the problem with hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Once the glands are out, one can have relief. Right now, you have active infection over the area so please start taking antibiotics.

Thank you for consulting me.

You can always reach me at icliniq.com.

Probable diagnosis

The probable diagnosis is hidradenitis suppurativa.

Treatment plan

The treatment plan is to take the tablet Augmentin (Amoxiclav) 1 gm twice daily for two weeks, tablet Rifampicin 450 mg twice daily for two weeks. Apply Clindamycin lotion over the area.

Preventive measures

Preventive measures can be taken such as maintaining the hygiene of the area, washing with soap and water, and avoiding irritants and dettol.
