Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, it is hidradenitis suppurativa. I can understand it is a very difficult time for you. This condition requires both medical and surgical treatment. It is the problem with hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Once the glands are out, one can have relief. Right now you have active infection over the area so please start taking antibiotics.

Probable diagnosis

Hidradenitis suppurativa.

Treatment plan

Tablet Augmentin (Amoxiclav) 1 gm BD for two weeks, tablet Rifampicin 450 mg BD for two weeks. Apply Clindamycin lotion over the area.

Preventive measures

Maintain hygiene of the area, wash with soap and water, avoid irritants and Dettol.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
