Patient's Query

Hi,

I think my wife has BPD. She always blames her sister for everything. Please guide me how to handle this?

Answered by Dr. Surabhi

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Your one liner problem description is very difficult to answer; though I will give a shot at it.

  • What makes you to think that your wife had Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Has she been diagnosed by a psychiatrist or you yourself think that she might be having such disorder?
  • Does her sister stay with you? On which issues she blames her sister? Has it anything to do with sibling rivalry?
  • How long have you been married and how is your relationship with her?
  • Does she behave with you in the same manner?

Kindly give a detailed account of her personality, temperament and your problems. Only on providing detailed complaints, will I come to know about the exact situation and offer you best advise.

Alternatively you can book for an online therapy for your wife to further diagnose.
