Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A friend of mine passed away because of cardiac arrest. He was a footballer. All of his tests were normal. And apparently, cardiac arrest was due to a slow heart rate while he was asleep. Now I am worried as my heart rate is also low, which is 55 to 60 beats per minute. Are there chances of cardiac arrest?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. Sudden cardiac arrest in the sportive young population is a great concern, and many studies have looked into the causes. The most common causes are septal enlargement and heartbeats abnormalities.

Kindly share your ECG (echocardiogram) reports so I can review them.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
