Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Before five weeks, I had a sore developed on my tongue. It was white and painless. I consulted an ENT specialist, and he gave me some medicines for cold sores. After that, it turned red and large with a slight crack on the tongue. Now, it has healed, and I have another sore developed over it. It is small and painless. It has white circles and a red center. What could it be? Please suggest.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

It is soft and painless. I do not know whether it came from kissing or some other infection. I am confused regarding the sore that came again after healing.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the attachment (attachment removed to protect patient identity). It looks like a superficial lesion that is mucosal lesion only. So it is likely to be a recurrent aphthous ulcer. It is managed by taking antibiotics and topical steroids.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
