Hello doctor,
I have a canker sore behind my last molar on the bottom right side. I have had pain in the region for a couple of weeks. My wisdom teeth have not been taken out. I have intense pain while chewing hard foods or when the food touches the sore.
I went to the dentist five months ago, and she said my wisdom teeth are not impacted. However, I am worried it might be an infection. I am currently taking Propranolol 20 mg and Lexapro 10 mg.

I have read your query, and I can understand your concern.
It is not a canker sore, but your upper last molar seems to be hitting the gums where the wisdom tooth is coming out. You need to ask your dentist to trim the upper tooth's sharp cusp so that it does not impinge on the gums below.
This condition occurs when the wisdom tooth from below also begins to erupt outside. It helps in breaking up the thick gums to allow the lower wisdom tooth to come out fast. If an X-ray was taken and the wisdom tooth seems to be impacted, then it has to be extracted. Use a saltwater gargle three times a day along with a local anesthetic gel many times a day to provide relief.
