What causes mild chest pain that lasts over three days?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am having mild chest pain over the last three days. I also feel lazy and less energetic for a few months. I have done routine checkups. Can you please give suggestions based on the report attached?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Get an ECG (electrocardiogram), 2D echo, and TMT test (treadmill test) to rule out any cardiac risk.

Your homocysteine levels are a little high (attachment removed to protect patient identity), which may be the factor responsible for the hypercoagulable state. Repeat homocysteine after a month. Take tablet Folvite 5 mg (Folic acid) once daily. Consult your doctor and take the medicine accordingly. Do regular exercise as it can control your borderline-raised cholesterol. Do look for any numbness in the legs or breathing difficulty.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please let me know if you need any help.

Thank you.
