Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A relatively large approximately 2x2x2 mm section of my molar randomly chipped off while I was eating today. There is no pain or sensitivity that I have noticed. However, it is a holiday weekend, so most dental offices are closed until Tuesday. Do I need to find emergency dental care, or can I wait until Tuesday as long as it stays painless?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The absence of pain or sensitivity indicates enamel fracture, so you have the advantage of pulp and dentinal protection. I suggest you get it restored, but yes, there is no urgency. You have at least 1 to 2 months for the treatment.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
