Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I chipped the back part of my front tooth about six months back, which left a hole in my tooth. In the six months, the hole has turned dark blue which has left a blue stain on the front of my tooth. The tooth does not hurt at all and neither do my gums but I definitely want to correct this before it gets worse. What do you think is happening and how can I fix it?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your question and I can understand your concern.

It is a class 4 cavity, you need to visit a dentist and get it filled with tooth-colored restoration, and composite filling as soon as possible. After the next six months, it may need pulp exposure and you will need root canal treatment that does not have as good a prognosis as a filling does.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
