What treatment measures help cure chronic sinusitis permanently?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had chronic sinusitis and was also diagnosed with GERD and recurrent colitis. I had my adenoid surgery 10 years back. Even now, I frequently have my nose blocked with mild pain in the forehead, strain in my eyes, and dizziness. I have been using Doxt SL for my colitis for five days.

What can I do now for my sinus problem?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

For sinusitis problems, an antibiotic course and a decongestant can be prescribed.

  1. Do steam inhalation three times a day with lukewarm water.
  2. Saltwater gargling is also beneficial.
  3. If your sinusitis is chronic, then functional endoscopic sinus surgery is to be done.
  4. You need to consult an otorhinolaryngologist for a detailed evaluation of that.

Thank you.
