Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My spouse had a thyroid problem, and before starting her period, she got brown discharge one day before the actual period started. This time, it repeated during her periods. Her period was expected in the second week of the month, and she started a brown spotting a day before. But on the day of her period, there were only a few drops of brown and red color intermittent discharge daily for five days. It did not happen earlier in the past. Is this happening because of unwanted 72? Is it because she stopped Crina-NCR 10 mg? She also gets the spotting of two or four drops every day, and that includes dark brown discharge and some clots as well. We do not understand what is going on. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.

I am very sorry about your medical condition. I am here to take care of you. Regarding your spouse's symptoms, she has developed hormone imbalance with irregular menses due to intake of the contraceptive pills 72. I suggest she take the following to regulate the menses:

  1. Capsule Co-Amoxiclav (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625 mg twice daily after food.

  2. Tablet Medroxyprogesterone 10 mg once daily.

  3. Tablet Norethisterone 5 mg after food.

Consult a specialist doctor, talk to them, and then take the medication. If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
