What is the significance of lymphocyte count in long COVID?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I experience headaches, chest pain, dizziness, and tiredness after a long COVID. I am unable to exercise.

My current medication includes Propranolol to overcome tachycardia induced by long COVID. I have attached the immune panel of lymphocytes. Could you help me understand the Tregs (T) cell count and the out-of-range values? Is my lymphocyte count fine? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I would suggest tablet Etoricoxib (selective COX-2 inhibitor) 90 mg once daily after the meal, and you can continue taking Propranolol. Consult your doctor and take the medicine accordingly.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please let me know if you need any help.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

The cluster of differentiation counts is low, which is not good. What about the Tregs (T) cell regulator count? Why are the cluster of differentiation 4 (CD 4+) and the cluster of differentiation 25 (CD 25+) levels elevated? Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

From the reports attached (attachments removed to protect the patients' identity), it is clear that the cluster of differentiation 19 (CD 19) count is low which is not good.

Please let me know if you need any help.

Thanks.
