Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a CT scan done yesterday for something else (nothing serious). They did say there was a 0.3 cm superior right lower lobe pulmonary nodule. Minimal bibasilar atelectasis. No focal consolidative opacities and no acute abnormality in the lungs. The doctor said since I am not at high risk due to size. I have never been a smoker, and because of the tiny size he did not think I need a follow-up, just with PCP. I wanted a second opinion on this.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

No history of tuberculosis and I do not believe any pneumonia, bronchitis that I remember. I had terrible colds in the past and congestion during that time, and I have been given medication and stuff. Otherwise, I am a very healthy person in the sense that all my blood work and such has always been perfect.

The reason they gave for a CT scan was that I am having back shoulder blade pain, and my D-Dimer came back very little above the mark, but everything checked out fine. My back pain was muscular, and then they mentioned the nodule but gave no importance to it because they said it was small and I was not at high risk.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your report (attachment removed to protect patient identity) shows a small pulmonary nodule which is at a low risk as you have no history of smoking and tuberculosis.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
