Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 59-year-old male. I have dark spots on my cheeks close to eyes on both sides identical. I would like to have medical advice on this problem which I am having for more than three years. I am currently taking Obimet SR 500, Glimisave M1, Pivasta 2 mg, Pinom 40 mg, and Clopilet 75 mg.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please send two to three clear pictures of the affected area for better evaluation and guidance. Do you have any symptoms (itching / burning) over this area?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have no such symptoms.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thanks for the pictures (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Are you overweight? If yes, try to reduce your weight which will help in decreasing the pigmentation as this may be acanthosis related to obesity. You can apply Trunex MS (Tretinoin) or Supatret 0.04% cream at night over this affected area. You can apply this cream in a very little amount at night only twice a week (for example every Monday and Thursday). If it causes irritation, apply even less amount.

In the daytime, apply sunscreen like Suncross Aquagel twice a day for example at 8 AM and 12 PM. Apply this even if you are not going outside. Do not rub the affected area as it will increase the pigmentation.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
