Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My periods are late for like 11 days, but I am a virgin, and my boyfriend and I wear sexually involved without any contact as I had my clothes on. Nothing happened during my ovulation (as per a smartphone application). I have had no symptoms of pregnancy, and I have no nausea. Except for one day, I have not had sensitivity to smell or vomiting. I have taken a pill Duphaston. Can I be pregnant?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

According to your description, it is very rare to get pregnant in such situations. For safety, do a urine pregnancy test. If it is negative, then you can induce your periods by withdrawal method. Why you took the Duphaston tablet? And if you are having such irregular periods, then you should do USG (ultrasonography) pelvis scan, thyroid profile, and CBC (complete blood count) to rule out any pathology. So accordingly, we can start proper treatment if needed.

Hope this information helps you.

Thank you.
