Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 22-year-old, and I have tooth decay in my molars. I have been avoiding it for quite a long time. I am very scared of visiting a dentist, the tooth is almost gone, and I guess the nerves have become prominent. I am experiencing light pain every time, and I can not chew food from that tooth. I have been very scared of visiting a dentist since I visited one in my childhood, and it was a very bad experience for me. I guess my tooth needs to be removed.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
If the tooth is completely gone or if the crown of the tooth is already lost, then you need to get the tooth removed. If there is decay, an X-ray must be done to rule out the exact nature of the decay and to see if the tooth can be saved. If the tooth can be saved, root canal treatment can be done, followed by capping. If not tooth has to be removed. So please take a picture of your tooth and send it to me so I can tell you exactly how you should proceed.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
