Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I had a cavity in my tooth. Now the tooth is completely decayed, and now I have a missing tooth. What is the best treatment that could be done?
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
I noticed the attached image (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) and can see that there is still some decayed tooth remaining. First and foremost, you should have that portion or tooth remnant removed or extracted. If there are any healing issues or delays after extraction, you may need to wait for at least one week to ten days until everything is entirely well.
You have two alternatives after surgery and healing, either have an implant or obtain a prosthetic crown and bridge. Prosthodontic crowns and bridges are more affordable than implants, but both are still appropriate for your age. Your choice is final.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards.
