What is the procedure for an implant in a 47-year-old?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am here for my mom's dental implants. We want information about dental implants. She is 47 years old, and her nine teeth are missing. She requires implantation for nine teeth. So please guide us on how we can do her treatment. What is the procedure needed and the required cost?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

For your mother, we need to know some health information, such as her history of blood pressure, recent surgery, diabetes, or any history of blood disorders. For implants, they are actually of two types.

1. Basic implants.

2. Advanced implants.

Both are imported implants, basic and advanced. There will be a separate package of teeth that she will choose. The price can differ according to region, reputation, and experience of the clinician and material costs, for her basic implant will be best. All implants have a warranty for the same duration.

The treatment will take a long time. In the first stage, we operate on the mouth to place the implant (as your mother has nine missing teeth). Then there will be a gap for healing the bone for three months. After three months, the impression will be taken, and then fixed teeth will be placed in about a month.

For a better and economical option, you can opt for fixed dentures that will exactly look like original teeth and will be placed in a month. I wish your mother good health and happiness. Keep me updated with the improvements.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
