Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I wanted to ask if it is possible to use an upper full denture to cover up my three missing teeth in the front? I only have one front tooth left and the other teeth in the back on both sides. Or should I try a different denture? Just wanted to know your opinion on this.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Full dentures are used to replace the whole lot of teeth when absent. In your case, as you have mentioned that you got only one front tooth left, it is much easier to replace only those lost teeth. So, the options here are removable partial dentures. Here you get regular or Valplast to choose. Valplast is much flexible than the regular ones.

Fixed partial denture which is nothing but a set of crowns to replace your lost teeth with support in either side from your original back teeth. The options with the material and cost here are ceramic and zirconia where zirconia is much natural looking than ceramic. Dental implants replacing lost teeth with tiny metal screws followed by fixing the ceramic caps or crowns. Might be expensive for multiple teeth and takes time.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
