Can chronic depression become severe?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 17 years old. I was quite a good-scoring child in high school, but now I cannot focus on anything. I thought to have a very positive approach, but now I lost my willingness and energy. I have also suffered from depression for over three years and am suffering from it presently. I have consulted and taken medication for it, but now it has become severe. However, I do not want to destroy myself.

Kindly help.

  7. Keep a positive attitude.

    Hope this helps you.
