Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My wife has been suffering from a psychological problem. She is 31 years old and the mother of two babies. She has completed her post graduation, but is currently not working. She has been a home-maker for the past four years. She is unhappy about not having a job, whereas all her friends are working and have a good career. She often complains about me being unsupportive, and not caring much about her. Because of all this, she is behaving abnormal and is depressed.
Please help me find a solution to this problem.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
Your wife is going through a tough phase in her life. I suggest you to be more patient and empathetic with her. Her main conflict is not being able to work, so she takes out her frustration on you because you are the person closest to her. Listen to her problems carefully, and once she is done speaking, talk to her calmly and ask about her expectations from you. Be supportive, not defensive. I suggest you to visit a psychiatrist and discuss your concerns. They will provide a better assessment of her condition and decide on the appropriate treatment plan.
I hope this has helped you out.
Thanks and regards.
