Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension and am on my daily medications. I am 35 years old and have been diagnosed with these conditions for the past few months. I have also been changing my diet and lifestyle, such as exercise, meditation, and diet. My relatives tell me that I should avoid coconut and coconut milk. I wanted to confirm if I can consume coconut daily? Also, kindly comment on a few tips and preventive measures to be followed by me to avoid future complications.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I suggest you eat small quantities of coconut. Increase physical activity. Eat more boiled vegetables and fruits (fruits that are not sweet) and maintain blood glucose between 100 to 160 milligram per decilitre. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
