This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I often have gas problems. I work in the night shift. Whenever I eat, gas is formed. Sometimes, the back part of the neck starts aching. Also, I feel dizzy sometimes. What to do?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your digestive system. Incorporating cardio exercises like jogging or using a treadmill can be beneficial for your overall health. Remember to hydrate by drinking water before meals rather than after.

I recommend taking Itopride orally, about 30 minutes before meals, to improve gastric motility. Additionally, you can have two tablespoons of Gaviscon liquid (Calcium carbonate) before breakfast. However, it is essential to consult your specialist doctor, discuss these options with them, and take the prescribed medication with their consent.

To promote better digestion, it's advisable to avoid processed food, fast food, caffeinated drinks, and energy drinks. Instead, opt for smaller and more frequent meals, avoiding overeating in one sitting. Try to eat only when genuinely hungry. Staying well-hydrated with clean drinking water is also crucial for your digestive health.

I also suggest Citrucel dietary fiber supplement(Methylcellulose) for a better outcome. As always, consulting a healthcare professional is essential to tailor the approach to your specific needs and ensure the best possible outcome for your digestive concerns.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
