Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 2-year-old kid has teeth discoloration that is spreading to the other teeth. I am not sure whether it is decay.

Kindly advise.

Answered by Dr. Naveen Thomas

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern and would be happy to help.

The condition is called early childhood caries that occurs due to a lack of proper brushing during the first two years of life after breastfeeding. I suggest you brush your child's teeth with a kid's toothpaste twice a day. Also, rinse his mouth after food or drinking milk.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
