Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been suffering from eczema for a long time. At present, it has started to develop on my foreskin. There is redness, itching, and a tiny cut in the foreskin. It was common before I became sexually active.
I think a small sore developed two weeks back in the meatus after using an antiseptic cream.
Please help.
Thank you very much, doctor.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
I suggest you take steroids along with an anti-inflammatory ointment.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
How can the ointment be used, and which area can it be applied to?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
We value the high level of confidence you have in us.
This ointment need not be purchased separately, as it is available as a combination. A pea-sized amount of the ointment is to be applied over the glans and foreskin twice a day.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply, doctor.
I am concerned if it is related to STIs (sexually transmitted infections). I am doubtful about it due to the bumps on the meatus. Can you confirm if it is not an STI?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your health inquiries and want to reassure you about your good health. However, the condition does not appear to be an STD (sexually transmitted disease).
I advise you to get evaluated for the same. The following are the needed laboratory investigations for confirmation. IgM (immunoglobulin M test), HSV (herpes simplex virus test), VDRL (Venereal disease research laboratory test), and HBsAg (hepatitis B surface antigen).
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
Can you please let me know what the actual condition is?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com
A complete diagnosis cannot be made by looking at the photograph attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). I have suggested medication for eczema and advised laboratory tests to rule out STDs.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
Can meatus ulcers be caused by the usage of antiseptics or any wrong soap?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Meatus ulcer is less likely to occur in normal non-immunocompromised (immunodeficient) people.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reach out in case of further queries.
Thank you.
