Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old female. My periods are a bit irregular. My cycles are 30 to 35 days long. My last period was 31 days before. Contraception failed six days back and I took an Unwanted -72 pill on the same day itself. Later I had bleeding in urine but it stopped after two days. I have slight dizziness and lower abdomen pain.

What could be the reason? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

As per your description you do not have irregular periods. 21 to 35 days of cycle is considered as normal, and normally one-week fluctuation may occur. According to your dates, you already had intercourse on a safe day so there was no need for an unnecessary emergency contraceptive pill it may disturb your menstrual cycle. The bleeding you got could be withdrawal bleeding because of the pill or this could be your actual menstrual bleeding. So there is a possibility that you may get bleeding in the next one to two weeks also.

If you have doubts about pregnancy then do not worry, there will not be pregnancy as you had intercourse on a safe day.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask further queries.

Thank you.
