Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 52-year-old male with 6'4" height and 175 LBS weight. I am having issues getting erect erect even when I have very little stress. As a result, I do not get erect fully and I am not able to maintain an erection. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year. I have also taken tablets like Viagra and Cialis. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Stress is one of the significant factors for the loss of erection. Anticipation about poor performance further worsens this. This ultimately leads to loss of erection. Do you have other associated issues like diabetes, hypertension, or chronic drug intake? Binge alcohol or any other substance intake for a long period? What doses did you take of Cialis (Tadalafil) and Viagra (Sildenafil)? Kindly revert with answers to the questions asked.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have no issues health-wise and do not have a history of chronic drug intake. I take two glasses of wine a week and do not partake in recreational drug use. I have taken 100 mg of Viagra and 20 mg of Cialis before. I prefer Cialis. The last time I tried each, it worked better.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Tablet Cialis or Tadalafil is a relatively long-acting drug and is preferred by many doctors too. If 20 mg of Cialis is not working effectively, another option is to take this drug at a low dose regularly. This is not an approved treatment, but it helps a lot. Taking the drug in a 5 mg dose daily for about four to six weeks helps maintain a strong erection, and this also boosts confidence in the long term. Secondly, you have to maintain your lifestyle. Exercise, even for a half hour three to four times a week, helps a lot in improving general health. Herbal supplements like Yohimbine, Shilajit, and L-arginine also enhance libido and erection. You can find these in supermarkets. I hope this helps you. Finally, I would suggest you get a serum testosterone test done. This will help to rule out any hormonal issues.

Thank you.
