I have erection and ejaculation issues. How to treat it?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 44 years old and started masturbating at the young age of 13. Due to a lack of knowledge, I did this three to four times a day. After two years, I became impotent and lost my erection completely. Nightfall used to happen daily.

I take Tadalafil 20 mg for erection and Duralast for premature ejaculation. I want to check if any treatment could help me live an everyday sex life without taking medication.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Masturbation does not make anyone impotent. Masturbation is a safe habit, and most humans masturbate in their lifetime. You have mentioned that after stopping masturbation, you used to ejaculate during the night. This means that your erection at night was normal, so how can you say that you became impotent then? You are just overthinking.

If, with tablets, you are achieving a good erection, then I do not think you are impotent. Talk with a psychiatrist, and behavior and psychotherapy can help in coming out of your problem. Behavior therapy will improve your confidence; thus, you can achieve an erection without medicines.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
