How do I manage palmar erythema and frequent infections?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 22 years old, my height is 5.1 feet, and my weight is about 92 to 94 lbs. I have had palmer erythema for the last three months. I mean, my palm becomes red, but not a burning sensation or itching. I also see green veins through my palms, thighs, and feet. I have had some mucus in the throat for two months due to a postnasal drip. Is it normal? What can I do now? I also had viral infections twice last year. I had developed palmar erythema three months after the last viral infection.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Veins on the palm are normal (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity). For mucus in the throat, I suggest the following:

  • Take steam inhalation three times a day.
  • Gargle with salt and turmeric powder in lukewarm water three times daily.
  • Take tulsi and ginger juice with honey three times a day for a few days.

The redness on the palm is due to a deficiency of vitamins and minerals. I also suggest,

  • Take good, nutritious foods.
  • Take vitamin C-rich fruits like amla, orange, etc.
  • Tablet Limcee (vitamin C), one tablet twice a day.
  • Tablet Bandy plus (Albendazole and Ivermectin) one tablet, single dose only.
  • Tablet Levocet (Levocetirizine) 10 mg one tablet daily for five days.

Kindly follow up with me after three days.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
