Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have reduced vision, red eyes, and headache and have been experiencing this severe pain and pressure in the left back side of my head. It all started three years ago after I went to a bar with friends and had too much of a hot alcoholic drink. It feels like the pain is in my head, but it rises with pressure when I operate my phone, work on my PC, or watch TV. There was a time I covered my left eye and operated my phone with only my right eye open. I did not feel the pain and pressure rise at all. And I feel facial muscle tightness too. This makes me uncomfortable and nervous, and anxiety kicks in sometimes. I went for an MRI of my head; the result was good. And I was referred to an eye clinic, and they carried out glaucoma Test on my eyes; the result came out good too. Then they gave me some eye drops, which did not help. Can someone please tell me what is wrong? Please help me with answers. I have tired of always feeling this pain in my head

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I am glad that your MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and glaucoma test all came out well. Your complaints are related to near work, like working on your phone, PC, etc. First, you should get your eyesight tested for any refractive errors. Secondly use a good ocular lubricant. Also, take a break between your work on the PC, and focus your eyes at a distance to relax your accommodation. You can also rule out migraine from a neurologist. Fortunately, I do not think anything is seriously wrong with your eyes. Hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
