Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am really worried about my 5-year-old daughter. She has had a high fever and a runny nose, and she has been complaining about headaches and body aches for the last three days. She is not eating anything and seems super weak. I am not sure what to do, and I am really concerned. I gave her Paracetamol, but the symptoms came back after 6 to 6.5 hours. Can you please help us figure out what is wrong and what we can do to help her feel better?

Hello,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern.

Please check the child's temperature with a thermometer. If the temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, you can administer syrup Crocin DS (Paracetamol) 240 mg/ml with a dosage based on the child's weight, as needed, every four to six hours. If the temperature is 102 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, you can administer syrup Ibugesic (a combination of Paracetamol and Ibuprofen) with a dosage based on the child's weight, as needed, every six to eight hours. If the temperature remains above 100 degrees Fahrenheit for more than three days or if it exceeds 103 degrees Fahrenheit, it is advisable to seek a physical evaluation by a pediatrician, including possible blood investigations determined by the physical examination. In your specific case, I strongly recommend seeking a physical evaluation by a pediatrician since three days have already passed.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
