Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My husband is 43 years old, and he refuses to visit a doctor. He used to suffer from joint tuberculosis five years ago, but after some hard levels of medications, he became healthy again. Now, almost every night, he has a mild fever, and he has become sensitive to light, and he has horrible headaches. He does not have enough energy, and he looks confused (he cannot concentrate on what he is doing). Once he passed out and it took some minutes untill he was conscious again. What is going on with him?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. With a past history of tuberculosis and now having mild night time fever with headache and getting episodes of passing out points toward some kind of infection in brain, may be tuberculosis of brain. It is a serious issue. I suggest you to take him hospital. He requires admission and detailed investigations. the probable cause is tuberculosis of brain. Investigations to be done are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain with contrast, electrocardiogram (EEG), cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) Examination (only after admitting in hospital), and other routine tests. Treatment plan includes admission to the hospital.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
