What can a 19-year-old patient do to boost his immunity naturally and become tolerant to flu?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 19 years old, and I often experience flu-like symptoms. I work in a restaurant, because of which my studies get affected. I get sick for at least a week, and I have to take leave when I am sick as I am not allowed to work due to strict COVID-19 guidelines. Why am I not tolerant to flu? How can I improve my immunity? What are the natural ways to boost immunity?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I suggest you take a quadrivalent flu vaccine annually, vitamin C 500 mg, and vitamin D3 60K tablets weekly. Eat protein-rich foods regularly to boost your immunity.
