Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

What is functional medicine? What is the focus of functional medicine? In what cases might a patient do well to see a functional medicine practitioner versus another type of health care provider? Any other details or specifics about it?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Functional medicine is like unscientific medicine and contains interaction between nature or disease and the organs involved (endocrine, immunity, etc.). Sometimes, some functional medicine provider does well in some chronic disease and end-stage disease like cancer but sometimes it deflects people to the wrong treatments. Some patients with chronic illness are trying this but some get cured some get another disease. Collectively, in my view, functional medicine is a pendulum of treatment science. Sometimes, it has 100% results, sometimes 0% results.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
