Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a problem related to the penis. It looks like a fungal infection as it appears white. What should I do? I am extremely worried.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can completely understand your concern. Please share a clear picture of the affected area so I can assess it more accurately. Based on your description, this may be a superficial fungal infection, and for that:
Apply Clotrimazole cream in a thin layer over the affected area twice daily for three weeks.
Keep the area clean and dry, avoid tight clothing, and wear loose cotton underwear to reduce moisture and friction.
Wash gently with plain water or a mild cleanser and dry the area completely before applying the cream, and avoid using harsh soaps or antiseptics.
If you are experiencing itching, you may take Cetirizine 10 milligrams at bedtime for relief. If the condition does not improve within two to three weeks, or if you notice worsening, pain, discharge, or ulceration, it is important to seek further evaluation to rule out other causes, such as balanitis or infections like Candida.
I hope it helps with your query. Please feel free to contact us with the image for better clarity, or you can use the provided treatment for the fungal infection, and you can come back if needed after two to three weeks.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.
Thank you.
